Our Union Ad Campaigns
On Saturday October 8, 2011 our union Media Consultant, Stephen Jackson presented tat the General Membership an overview of our advertising campaigns. His presentation was received so well that we asked Stephen to share the presentation on our website for those who were not present. Mr. Jackson agreed and here is the history of our Union Ad Campaigns to date.
2008 Campaign
This was the first year of our advertising campaign. The Felony Assault Bill was going to become law and our campaign informed New Yorkers that it will now be a FELONY to assault a Traffic Enforcement Agent.

2009 Campaign
In 2009 Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes and Local 983 joined us for a special ad campaign targeted towards the citizens of Brooklyn. This ad campaign featured our 1st TV ad that ran on Cablevision in Brooklyn and our 1st movie theater ad that ran in Brooklyn movie theaters.

2010 Campaign
In 2010 your Executive Board embarked on the mission of getting Felony Assault protection for Uniform Sanitation Enforcement Agents. The 1st campaign was aimed at the City Council and State Senate & Assembly.
Once our Sanitation Enforcement family got Felony Assault status, the union produced its largest campaign to date informing the citizens of New York that both Traffic and Sanitation Enforcement Agents are protected.
Ads ran on the radio for the 1st time as well as buses in and again in Newspapers. Click HERE to see the 2010 campaign.
